Senior Administrative Assistant
Temporary Part-time Position could go permanent
International biomedical research firm in Boulder is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Assistant with excellent organizational skills who will provide comprehensive administrative support to the scientific staff involved in clinical research and consulting. Responsibilities include preparing scientific manuscripts, documents, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and correspondence.
Familiarity and proficiency in journal and manuscript preparation and submission, end note and footnote creation, reference and bibliography formatting, tables graphs and chart creation, and preparation of presentation materials is a must. Excellent proofing skills are required.
In addition, the position will perform literature searches and maintain a reference database including scanning and indexing articles. Familiarity with Ovid, Endnote and PubMed is a plus.
The successful candidate will have experience entering, editing, retrieving information; recognizing errors, and initiating corrections while using standard software applications; experience using the internet and web browsers; ability to research topics and summarize findings; experience researching and retrieving and downloading journals and manuscripts online.
This position requires a proactive person with excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize duties.
The ability to work both in a team environment and with a minimum supervision is a necessary.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Medical, Biosciences or equivalent is required.
Three to five years of administrative experience, preferably in a research or medical setting.
Extensive computer experience to include expertise with various software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProCite, and EndNote.
Knowledge of database and bibliographic software and on-line search procedures.
Experience preparing federal grant applications and research manuscripts with electronic submissions strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner, deal with changing priorities, and keep accurate orderly files and records.
